Let's all praise how good our connectivity is although there are things such as noida to Gurugram connectivity which will further enhance overall connectivity but let's just take our time to understand how good it already is, afterall it's better than most of the cities and even in other countries you'd rarely find this density of metros except places like paris/NY, they're on a different level...

Green. Because interchange is a pain. First you change at Kirti Nagar. Next you change at Ashok Park main. I don't know why you've to interchange for same line. At least, that's how it was a few years ago.

idk about worst but violet line is the best. So smooth, never late, barely crowded, civilized people.

Yellow Line and Blue Line are most useful lines, ridership and route length of both proves this. Being on the Broad Gauge (BG) also makes them quite spacious. Operation wise both are excellent-high frequency, good speed, classic rolling stock and high number of interchanges with other lines. Both lines also have similar sort of pax. - mostly middle class, businessmen and tech guys.

Red and Violet Line are in the next category of usefulness. Both connect city centers of Ghaziabad and Faridabad respectively, to Central Delhi hence both lines are very crowded. Add to that, both currently only are 6 coach long. Islie in some ways in dono mein Yellow and Blue Line se bhi jyada rush rehta hai. Though, Red Line will soon get 8 coach trains in next couple of years. Violet Line on the other hand, I'm afraid isn't designed for 8 coach long trains, but may eventually have trains with 7 coaches.
Violet Line which is on Standard Gauge (SG) especially feels more suffocating as it uses smaller BEML coaches, unlike new &amp; spacious Hyundai Rotem coaches used on new SG lines ie-Pink, Magenta and Grey. Red Line which is on BG and uses same rolling stocks as Blue line is much better.
Other than that both lines have good speed and frequency but are hit and miss in terms of interchanges. Great interchange station are - Inderlok(Red) and Central Secretariat(Violet). Aweful interchange- Kalkaji(Violet).

Green Line used to have very limited usability when it used to terminate at Mundka but after extension till Bahadurgarh it has grown in importance. But 4 coach long trains with low frequency has made it quite infamous for being the line with most irregular schedule and huge crowds. But now as DMRC is looking to add new coaches, condition will surely improve in coming years. Especially when it finally gets extended to Indraprastha via New Delhi railway station and Pahadganj market area.

Grey Line - good connector line for people of Nazafgarh but still at just 5 km route length, has low usability.

Pink Line is shiny, new with very spacious coaches and is  connector route being essentially a ring shaped route. But low frequency and frustratingly slow speed has kept it's ridership low. Has lots of room for improvement, badly designed interchange stations don't help it either. RRTS phase 1 routes which are terminating at Sarai Kale Khan will definitely turn it's fortune though. DMRC will have to work hard to cater with increase in demand.

Now coming to my favourite and IMHO Delhi Metro's best current route - Magenta Line.
Magenta Line has all the advantages associated with Pink Line with few more very important additional pros. After being put in service, it single handedly reduced distance between South-West &amp; West delhi, Faridabad Gurgaon and Noida. It has also helped in reducing load on Blue Line to a certain extent.
Trains run with good speed, has great rolling stock, manageable frequency and are fully automated.

I don't find the rationale behind people saying red. I travel from red on the daily between shastri nagar and rithala. 

If it's a logistical issue of crowdiness, I find that more on blue and yellow( people use it more so it's bound to be more crowded )

If it's because of the crowd, that's plainly classist. I haven't found issues of people being dicks on the red line, and I've been using it for the past 4 years.

Red line needs some renovation, really. I see some work being done at stations, hope it finishes soon. The old age has started to come across in the looks. Some coaches need to be dropped, like I saw one w a cracked glass once. It also needs to be extended to Ghaziabad Railway Station and Narela on the other end. Mohan Nagar must also be an interchange station with a Blue Line extension. Once Green line is extended from Inderlok to Indraprastha (and hopefully down to Saket), the Red Line will become much better after all this, with lesser crowd in it.

Green Line. Absolutely, without doubt. The coaches are overcrowded and crowd is the worst. The three times I have been on it , once I have been groped, second I have been harassed and third I saw two women physically fighting and hurling abuses at each other in the women's coach. It was scary.

I would say red and green,  since red is the oldest of all. It's metros are noisy and uncomfortable, on office hours it has so much rush just like Mumbai locals.

And when it comes to green, to interchange the metro you will have to walk apprx 2 km reach the platforms. And it's metros doesn't feel like metro I feels like bus. I don't know if anyone can relate to me.


But I find the yes yellow line the best, it has the fastest service, ACs are always chill. 😀😀 you get to see pretty face because of North campus, oh good old days I miss em.
